Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO)
TAYO identifies outstanding youth organizations, clubs and societies who have been helping their communities by way of their well-crafted and highly applicable and effective programs. It recognizes, rewards and encourages contributions made by groups of young Filipinos for the progress of our society.
TAYO application is currently on-going. Deadline of submission of entries is on March 31, 2004.

Presidential Youth Fellowship Program (PYFP)
Every summer, the Presidential Youth Fellowship Program (PYFP) provides a venue for young people to directly help the government push the cause of the eight point agenda of the government, and eventually have the fellows serve as youth spokespersons and advocates of government.
Preparations are underway for the next implementation of the PYFP. The NYC will be accepting applicants from 18-30 years old, incoming senior students with good scholastic records.

National Youth Parliament
The NYP is a 3-day convention of youth leaders every two years wherein policy recommendations are formulated to address youth issues, and serve as government’s guide in policy formulation and program development. Started in 1996, these youth leaders gather every two years to share ideas and gain valuable insights and networks to aid them in their youth development efforts.

Ten Outstanding Young Legislators of the Philippines
Done together with the National Movement of Young Legislators, the TOYLP seeks to recognize the efforts of young legislators towards youth development and their exemplary execution of their duties as elected local government officials.

SK Affairs/ Integrated Sangguniang Kabataan Organizational Leadership and Reorientation Program (ISKOLAR)
The NYC offers a two-step process to assist the SK officials to fully realize their potentials as youth officials in their localities. The ISKOLAR is a training program designed to give them necessary information on how they would be able to relate with their constituents and how to perform their obligations to the best of their abilities. The NYC also serves as the secretariat to the SK National Federation, a body elected by the presidents of the provincial federations nationwide.

Good Citizenship
Another program under the auspices of the Sangguniang Kabataan, it serves to inculcate values training in the localities to promote good citizenship.

Local Youth Development Council/Local Youth Development Plan
The LYDC is an organization at the city and municipal level with representatives from various devolved government agencies, local government departments, NGOs the SK federation and federation of community, student and church based organizations.
LYDC Ordinances enacted in Pilar and Naga City, Marawi City, Tabaco City and Albay City, and in the province of Bohol. Pending LYDC Ordinances: Pili, Camarines Sur; Daet, Camarines Norte; Bonbon, Camarines Sur; Barili, Cebu, and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Voters’ Education
Specifically targeting the first-time registrants and voters, it provides a venue for the young electorate to be informed of their basic political rights and to vote wisely. The NYC also encourages youth groups to be Voters’ Education advocates, by conducting Voters’ Education fora and seminars in their localities.
Information materials were released to all YORP-registered organizations, with preparations underway for the direct implementation of the program in key areas nationwide.

Kabataang Bayani Challenge
A 3-day sports event spearheaded by Philippine Sports Commission, National Youth Commission, National Commission on Culture and Arts, National Historical Institute, PSI-Asia and AIM Alumni. It aims to allow youth leaders to undergo leadership training thru sports. It seeks to nurture among youth leaders nationalism, patriotism and camaraderie thru sports.
After its successful initial implementation, work in under way for the second implementation of the Kabataang Bayani Challenge.
