Special Drug Education Centers

In cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, by virtue of Republic Act 9125, which creates special drug education centers. NYC currently plays a role in ensuring that these centers provide some worthwhile activities for its clientele, but its final goal is the establishment of a socialized rehabilitation program in these centers, to cement the demand reduction efforts.

The minimum requirements for the implementation of these centers lie with the local DSWD offices. These offices can offer counseling and referrals, but work is still being done to lobby for the creation of structures that will serve as centers.
