The Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Games. By participating in various sectors the volunteers will give this unique celebration vitality and in one shining moment experience the Filipino Bayanihan Spirit!


The National Youth Commission (NYC), together with the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHILSOC) is inviting every Filipino to volunteer their time, gifts and resources in this endeavor to showcase to the world the best of our country during the staging of the 23rd SEA Games in November 2005!

In the Olympics, the Volunteers are the people who help the athletes, the visitors, and the spectators at the most amazing sport event in the world.

Requirements for the Volunteers Programme:
Completed Volunteers Application Form
RESUME, with Passport-sized Photo, and
Police or NBI Clearance
You can submit Requirements to the:

We have a downloadable form at RESOURCES SECTION kaso may kunting revisions pa so wait lang muna tau sa final form..but u can download it and send it to [email protected] for pre-registration...

Our organization would also like to be involved as volunteers, especially because we are based in Los Banos, Laguna where some of the games would also be held.

Thanks sa update. Ang dinownload ko kasi dati e yung volunteer form ng NYC. So hintay ko na lang yung updated form specifically for this volunteer opportunity.

[B]How could i able to join the opening dance ceremony for the 23rd SEA games?and how could i able to help the badminton event for this years SEA games?pls do help me answer my own question...

We are still waiting for the committee in charge of the ceremonies to tell us their volunteer requirements. As of the moment, there are no demands for dancers yet. For the sports events, I'm not sure volunteers can choose their events assignments.

ano po ang advantages kapag nag-volunteer ako? kaya sumali ako bec. of my being inexperience at lalo na eh para po sa 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany!

pwede po bang sumali sa pagbo-volunteer sa SEA Games?
Tatangapin po ba ang walang Police clearance o NBI clearance?
Kung wala po ang isang aplikante ng nabanggit, ano po ba ang alternate na pwedeng i-submit?

Mga kasama, tanong ko lang kung magkano ang pagpapagawa ng NBI
clearance at kung pwede bang magkaroon ang isang 16 year-old?

Lets stick to the requirements kc yan ang gustong makita ng PHILSOC, anyway sa student pwede na ang barangay clearance or police clearance.


I have no idea kung magkano na ngyon ang NBI eh better na pumunta ka nalang sa NBI

Besides I think they are doing this also as a security measure and for the success of the events as well.

Guys, Kahit walang monetary compensation ay mag-volunteer ako for the 23rd SEA games kasi as a Filipino I wanted to showcase to the rest of the Region on how hospitable and organized we Filipinos are in the up coming event , See how organized other countries in their hosting jobs in the previous SEA games like in Vietnam, Malaysia.

And the biggest reward is not money but a lifetime fuul of experience , friendship volunteerism , That is in my own personal way to contribute to our country.

Well just a question.. yun bang mga volunteer ay continuous or uwian din? Do they have a quarters, provision and such other things? Kasi syempre not all people can shoulder personal expenses right.

just want to ask if the downloadable form is final because in our school, we have a sort of difference with the form. we are under the Bacolod City chapter from University of St. La Salle. the form is somewhat 95 % the same, is it ok if the form that was given to us is the one we are going to submit? lotsof la sallians are joining the volunteer program because some of its events will be hosted by the school, so if there's any changes or updates, i cand update them...

Yes, the Bacolod forms are OK. We already met with Bacolod SEA games organizing committee and we have agreed that they will do a localized recruitment process. They will need around 4,500 volunteers.

Furthermore, Bacolod SOC will then forward to us profiles of local volunteers so they can be included in the national database of the program.

A general orientation is set in Bacolod in October and i hope to see you there. We will likewise organize a Volunteers Night where we celebrate the spirit of volunteerism among young Filipinos!

On your note, volunteers will be given the following benefits: uniforms, meals, and health insurances. The Organizing Committee will not shoulder transportation and accommodation so it is advisable to volunteer in the venues near your place.

However, we will be assigned a volunteers operations center where volunteers get their meals and have their attendance checked. The room will likewise serve as resting area.

As to the schedule of shifts, we are currently working on it.

The games will be held in different venues nationwide, namely: NCR, Olongapo, Pampanga, Laguna, Cavite, Cebu, and Bacolod on 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2005. Opening ceremonies will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta.

ask ko lang... if sept 30, is the deadline for all registration form including Bacolod?.... because the said deadline here in our school is august 30....

Deadline from the National Secretariat is set at Sept 30. Maybe Bacolod SOC set an earlier deadline. U follow the Bacolod deadline na lang to be sure. But anyhow, the national office will still accept applications till end of Sept.

Gud Am po! just want to ask for some concerns about on the SEA GAMES volunteer....are all the financees shoulder by the Organization, especially if we are assign to other place? like the transportation and accommodation?

what event will be held in Cebu?

Interviews will be done in Sept and October at the NYC central office in Quezon City. However, Cebu and Bacolod Committees will organize their own selection process. Will inform you soon of schedules.

Dancesport and taekwondo will be done in Cebu, I'll check the list muna kung anong events pa.

Area Coordinator is Queenie Dadulo (02) 781-1613.

Unfortunately, PHILSOC will not shoulder transpo and accommodation expenses. Volunteers will only be provided with meals, event shirts and health insurances.

To be volunteer for the sea games, it is a plus if you don't go to school or work during the Games. Of course you can qualify in the program. I will get the contact numbers of Bacolod SEA Games Organizing Committee tomorrow. Will update you as soon as possible.

Meantime, you can download the application form and prepare the requirements.

hello there again Mr.Howie, so have u get na ba the landline # of Sea Games office here in Bacolod? I dont have a NBI clearance nor barangay clearance as of now coz i've lost my original authenticated birth certificate its their main requirements in getting NBI nor Police clearance today. So is it ok? or i really have to get either of the two coz i have here my passport that is valid till 2008. Hope i can really be a part of this once in a lifetime event. Thanks again and More Power!

hello po, Im Ingrid Boter. Bago lang po ako nag sign up dito. student pa po ako pero graduating na ngayong october. Sana po eh makuha po ako sa isa sa mga volunteers para sa 25th seagames. Cebu and Bacolod have organized their own Organizing Committees to facilitate the recruitment of volunteers for the region. However, we have assigned coordinators from NYC who will assist the group in organizing the pool of volunteers for the Games. Please get in touch with Miss Marcia Aguilar and Queenie Dadulo at the NYC office @ 2nd Floor Myrah's Pension House along Escario St. in Cebu. Or maybe you can visit the office there and hand over your application. Phone number is 234-1500. We don't have an office in Bacolod but im sure Marcia can help you connect with the people in-charge there.

For the requirements, the National Secretariat only needs 2 copies of application forms with 2 pcs 2x2 ID pictures and your comprehensive resume.

there's no confirmation yet from our school, but the rumor is.. La salle-bacolod is pulling out applicatons for volunteerism due to academic problems.. they said that the student volunteers will not be excused from their classes, and there's no schedule yet available for the 2nd semester that will cover up the dates for the sea games.. lots of volunteers are from la salle and it's sad to know that bacolod has not enough volunteers... Is there any alternatives or solutions for this?
