18 th International Youth Forum

The National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea (NCYOK), the coordinating body for Korean youth organizations under the auspices of the National Youth Commission Korea is organizing the 18 th International Youth Forum under the theme “Youth and Multi-Cultural Society” this July 19 to the 26 th in Seoul, Korea.

Hosted by the National Youth Commission Korea, in cooperation with the Asian Youth Council (AYC) and The World Assembly of Youth (WAY), the forum will bring together one hundred thirty (130) young people from all over the world.

The program will cover a wide range of topics which include:

  1. The Inevitability of Globalization and Localization in modern society, discussions on diversity of cultures beyond states and nations
  2. America , the Melting Pot Theory being replaced Salad theory
  3. Youth opportunities in the era of cultural diversity, building and developing desirable cultural value judgment thru international cooperation, cultural development methods and the role of youth in this era.

To join, participants must be healthy, aged from 18 to 30 years old and can speak English fluently. Interested individuals are required to fill up the attached application form together with a theme related report (3 pages, A4 size) and prepare a 5 to 10 minutes performance for the cultural exchange.

Fees and other expenses including meals and local transportation and other activities related to the event will be shouldered by the organizers while the airfare to and from Korea will be borne by the participant.
