DEFINITIONS
- YOUTH ORGANIZATION - any organization whose members are between 15 to 30 years old.
- YOUTH-SERVING INSTITUTION - any institution whose primary objectives, programs and projects are youth-related.
- NATIONAL ORGANIZATION - any organization with regional, provincial or municipal chapters nationwide and whose major programs are nationwide in nature.
- COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION - any organization whose programs, projects and membership are based only on a certain locality or community.
- IN-SCHOOL YOUTH - are those in the 15 to 30 age range who are attending either formal schools or non-school based educational programs under institutions recognized by the state.
- OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH - are those who are 15 to 30 years old, not enrolled in any formal / vocational school, not employed or self-employed and have not graduated from college/technical/vocational school.
- WORKING YOUTH - are those who are 15 to 30 years old, who are either employed, self-employed, under employed or belong to specific employable job-seeking youth groups both in the formal and informal sectors of the economy.
- SPECIAL YOUTH - are those who are 15 to 30 years old, who are marginalized by existing societal forces thereby needing special care, attention & protection. They are grouped into 9 categories, namely, the youth in Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC), youth w/ disabilities, Youth in Situations of Armed Conflict (YSAC), young victims of national disasters & calamities, youth offenders, juvenile delinquents, drug dependent youth, street youth and abused/exploited youth.
