I know you are all wondering where did your previous posts go? sad.gifOur forum’s database has been corrupted again, which causes me much to recover it. This is the reason why we changed our forum to more secure message board, which we are using right now… biggrin.gif

Thank you and mabuhay!!!

Hello Admin, I'm a long time forum designer and admin and I've seen the early days of NYC Philippines forum using PHPBB. From its history madami talaga security holes yun. I'm really sorry to hear that.

Don't your webhost provide weekly backups at least? You should recover it very easily.

Kung wala na talaga.. I'm very sorry to hear this news. sad.gif
webmaster
as you can see guys we are using an old invision board version this is for the migration of database from phpbb to invision...i'll be working on the design as soon as i finished configuring this forum....

tanx for all your support guys!!! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif
shen brood
Don't worry we will be here to support you NYC! Hmm but actually this is not an old version because BROOD Online Forums do use only Invision version 1.3 and this is version 2.
XeonBlaze
this is not the latest version of IPB 2.x and there are known security bugs in it. Quite serious, but it's not as bad as Phpbb's
webmaster
Actually I’m looking for the older one and 1.3 is quite good than the newer version..my friend also uses that version....
XeonBlaze
I think you should have used IPB 2.0.3 already since the converter works for 2.x anyway.

IPB 1.3 is a bit faster with about less than 100 concurrent users because it has less features but 2.0.3 is more scalable when online users exceed hundreds. I think it's a good move webmaster.
webmaster
latest version of invision doesnt have a convertor for phpbb....so we're using this version...kunti lang naman ang diference sa latest version and i think this is suitable for now.. biggrin.gif
XeonBlaze
Actually there's quite a lot, here are the change logs and I hope you'll update the forum soon.

Btw, you should be able to upgrade easily by downloading the latest version in Invision Power Board customer area anyway. The upgrade is just a breeze. smile.gifKayang-kaya yan!
