To whom it may concern:
We are looking for enthusiastic young adults between the ages of 18 - 25 who have an interest in volunteerism to participate in an International Youth Volunteerism Summit at Northwestern University on February 23-26, 2006. The inaugural IYVSummit is a weekend designed to celebrate the impulses behind youth volunteerism around the world while at the same time creating a social and intellectual space for serious critical discussion of the limits and pitfalls of those impulses. IYVS will select and sponsor 10 international participants to join 50 American students and a group of 40 social entrepreneurs, NGO executives, and academic experts. The summit will include panel discussions, workshops, lectures and collaborative work on a group volunteer project. We are looking
for a diverse group of participants and encourage everyone to apply regardless of previous volunteer experience. Travel, housing and food will be provided for the chosen international participants. Interested individuals should refer to www.iyvs.org , www.iyvs.org/prospectus, and www.iyvs.org/apply/ for further information and the application forms. Please note all applications must be received no later than December 1, 2005 by post or email(*or on the website). We are very excited about the summit and we look forward to hearing from you.
