The Youth Information Center Program aims to develop state universities and colleges and private educational institutions into Youth Information Centers.
We have 12 existing YICs, with several more signing up with us. This makes information on youth opportunities available to areas that have limited access to the internet or mail services. Simply put, by developing more centers in the region, we hope that the youth in that area are better able to access youth information. This is also in line with NYC's aims to localize the implementation of the Medium-Term Youth Development Plan, which provides for youth participation in the planning of youth development programs in the Local Government Units. |
