Atty Mabel P. Villarica-Mamba I want the NYC to do its job, to perform its mandate, to fulfill its promise of preparing our young people as they take on the task of leadership in the future.
She was an outstanding student and was very active in co-curricular and sports activities. However, it was when she joined the Philippine Jaycees that her leadership skills were further honed and developed. From being a charter member and officer in 1988, she held several positions until she was elected Chapter President of Marilao "Marilag" Jaycees in 1992. She was the National Vice President of the Metro North Region in 1996 and National Executive Vice President of Metro Area in 1997. She was appointed National General Legal Counsel in 1998. After graduating from law school and while waiting for the results of her bar examinations, she worked for Vitarich Corporation as Employee Relations Assistant. In 1995, she ran for Vice Mayor of Marilao, Bulacan, and handily won by a large margin. As Vice Mayor, she became an active officer of the National Movement of Young Legislators-Bulacan and Vice Mayors League of Bulacan in 1996. She is also part of several professional and non-government organizations, both national and local in scope. The various awards she has received as a civic leader and public servant attests to her genuine commitment to be of service to her constituency and community. |
