NYC Launches Youth Development Toolkit
The National Youth Commission will be launching the Philippine Toolkit for Youth Development on 25 February 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Market! Market! Activity Center in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila. The Philippine Toolkit for Youth Development is a guide for local government, youth organizations and youth serving organizations to come up with more responsive programs for the youth in their respective areas. The NYC has put together the best practices for youth from all over the country to serve as the inspiration and direction of youth development initiatives. This document will serve as a handbook for local initiatives in youth development, and will be brought down to the local levels through the Regional Advisory Councils and the Local Youth Development Programs. This launch will be held in conjunction with ABS-CBN’s youth-oriented talk show, Y Speak! The topic for that episode will be the youth’s response to the challenges of EDSA. This activity is open to the public. For more details, you may contact the National Youth Commission through the following telephone numbers: 781-2323, 781-2372, 749-9401. You can also e-mail us at [email protected] or text NYC <space> <your message> and send to 2920. |
