SEARCH FOR OUTSTANDING YOUTH ORGS EXTENDED

Due to insistent request from various youth organizations nationwide, the application period for the 4 th Search for the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations has been extended until 15 May 2006!

The country's premiere search for outstanding youth organizations is spearheaded by the TAYO Awards Foundation, the National Youth Commission and the Office of Senate Majority Leader Kiko Pangilinan.

Presented by Mirant Philippines, Coke Barkada, Philippine Daily Inquirer and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the program continues to recognize, reward and encourage youth organizations that implement projects that aid their schools, barangays or communities while maximizing their existing resources.

Winners will be awarded cash grants of 50,000 each and specially handcrafted trophies by artist Toym de Leon Imao.

“We hope that by extending the deadline of the search, we will be able to reach more areas and more youth organizations with a bigger variety of projects and encourage the implementation of community development projects initiated by the youth.” NYC Chair Richie Nalupta states.

Inquiries may be texted to 0917-898-TAYO. The TAYO Secretariat may also be reached through [email protected] and [email protected] and telephone numbers 781-2323, 781-1671.
