P2P Project Officer

The People-to-People Exchange Department of the Asia-Europe Foundation is in need of a full-time Project Officer for a one-year (12 month) period to assist in the coordination of the ASEM Education Hub of its bi-regional platform for cooperation among Asian and European universities and higher education institutions.

The Project Officer will have the opportunity to:

"  Be actively engaged in the development of projects related to education cooperation

"  Acquire a better knowledge of the Asian and European Higher Education institutions, universities and networks

"  Learn the steps of implementing a project from concept to its implementation

"  Obtain professional knowledge on working with different partners and education professionals from Europe and Asia and build networks

"  Contribute to a dynamic and multi-cultural team with his/her personal knowledge and creativity

Duties and responsibilities:

"  Assist in the implementation and execution of the Hub's programmes and activities, including research, identification of and liaison with partners, practical organization of meetings and conferences, reporting and evaluation

"  Develop and manage the Hub's publications, website, database, publicity materials and reports

"  Contribute to the strategic planning of the Hub's activities and provide intellectual input for the People-to-People Exchange Department and ASEF in general

Requirements:

"  Young professional with at least two years experience in project management, specifically in activities that promote contacts and exchanges in the field of higher education

"  A Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in a social sciences discipline

"  Excellent command of English (both written and oral) and strong aptitude for business writing

"  Attentive to details and with excellent presentation and organizational skills

"  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies

"  Enthusiastic and open to new learning and challenges

"  Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural and team environment

"  Proficient in MS Office and basic web administration
