NYC, Gentxt Grant Computers for Partner Student Councils
The National Youth Commission, in partnership with Globe Gentxt, conducts a series of leadership forum in schools across the country aimed at highlighting the major role of youth in nation building.
Through the NYC’s Youth Information Center Program, Gentxt is giving away computers to Participating schools. The NYC is looking for youth partners that may help in the information dissemination of its programs. Youth partners will be coming from the Office of Student Affairs and Student Councils of the respective schools. Their duties and responsibilities will be to relay information about youth activities within the campuses around the area.
NYC Chairman Bam Aquino granted the first internet-ready computer to the Jose Feliciano College Student Council in Dau, Pampanga.
The leadership forum was also conducted in Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and will be conducted in Bacolod and Iloilo. The colleges and universities visited during the forum will receive the computers after signing the memorandum of agreement between the school and NYC.
The Youth Information Center Program is one of the programs of the NYC targeting in-school youth.
