J-POP ANIME SINGING COMPETITION

In celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month, the Embassy of Japan and Japan Foundation Manila is inviting Filipino amateur peformers/singers who can sing their favorite anime themes or J-POP songs in Japanese to its J-POP Anime Singing Competition Grand Finals on July 25, 2009 at the Activity Center, Market!Market!, Taguig City.

Professional singers with recording and singing contracts are automatically disqualified from joining the competition.

HOW TO JOIN: 

  1. If you and your friends can hit the right notes like Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamazaki, Glay, Lar'c-En-Ciel,etc. or sing anime theme songs with passion and zest, group yourselves to three(3) to ten (10) members.
  2. Send a CD or tape demo of your group's rendition of two (2) Japanese songs. Submitted recordings must not be synthesized, enhanced nor edited.
  3. Fill in the official registration form which can be downloaded from this website:http://www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp and send it together with your CD or tape demo to the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Blvd. , Pasay City.

Deadline for submission of entries is April 20, 2009
