Call for ASEAN Volunteers for Post-Nargis Recovery and Preparedness Projects
The ASEAN is assisting Myanmar in recovering from Cyclone Nargis, which struck the coast of the country on May 2 and 3, 2008. The humanitarian mission involves a Volunteers Progamme in Myanmar from September 2009 to January 2010, tentatively.
To this end, the Coordinating Office for the ASEAN Humanitarian Task Force in Yangoon, Myanmar is seeking ASEAN Volunteers (only ASEAN nationals) to assist in Post-Nargis Recovery and Preparedness Projects. The volunteers will be assigned to support project implementation. Those who will be accepted in the program must be available in September 2009 and will assume the following positions:
- Community Project Officer/Assistant
- Community Reporting Officer/Assistant
- Project Finance Officer/Assistant
